Lumina in Obscuro

Most conflict zones don't make the briefing. We cover the ones that don't. Atra Pardus Group produces open-source intelligence analysis focused on the regions conventional services overlook — reducing uncertainty for the organizations that still have to operate there.

01
Where others aren't

We focus on conflict zones that get ignored — not because they're unimportant, but because conventional coverage has moved on.

02
Less uncertainty

Our goal is simple: when you're done reading, you know more than you did before — and you know exactly how confident to be in what you've read.

03
Built for operators

We write for NGO directors, security managers, and logistics planners — not academics. If it doesn't help you make a decision, it doesn't go in.

Free weekly newsletters keep you current on the regions we cover. Paid subscriptions deliver deeper, country-specific analysis on a weekly cadence. If you have a specific requirement, commissioned work is available on request.

WHO WE ARE

Atra Pardus Group is a two-person open-source intelligence consultancy. We started it because the regions we care about — active conflicts, slow-burning insurgencies, humanitarian crises — consistently get dropped from conventional analytical coverage the moment they stop making front-page news. The organizations that still have people on the ground don't have that luxury.

We produce analysis for NGOs, private security firms, shipping companies, and anyone else who needs to understand what's actually happening in a place — not what was happening six months ago when coverage was still good.

Everything we publish is open-source. We're transparent about our methods, our sources, and our confidence levels. If we don't know something, we say so.
